MatrixGold™ is Gemvision’s new design sofwatre that adds a new dimension to Gemvision’s advanced CAD solutions. It combines the top features of the Matrix® and RhinoGold design software and displays them all to the user in a simplified and easy-to-use interface like that of CounterSketch®. MatrixGold™ 2019 offers you more power, a complete tool set and improved productivity.
MatrixGold™ uses the new Rhino 7 graphics engine which provides excellent speed and responsiveness resulting in an improved look and presentation.
It also has a system that keeps a history of the parameters that have been used so that it can “remember” how the elements were constructed and how they relate to each other. Using this parametric history/memory you can make design changes quickly.
It comes with upgraded Rendering which is based on the Rhino 7 Cycles engine making Rendering easy and efficient. It also allows the graphics card and the system processor to make the most of the system’s resources.
The configuration history is a way to link the modifications you have made to designs created by Matrixgold commands. When you update the modifications you have made using a dynamic command, all other dynamic commands that were used react and reflect those changes while keeping your design intact.
By keeping a record of all these commands, the workflow allows you to edit every step of the drawing process, changing the number of stones, width, thickness, stone shape, etc.
The configuration history will cut your planning time in half and help you develop your own jewellery collections.
Editable Booleans and Cutters.
Design programs use Booleans to control how geometry is removed or added to a piece.
Before this change, if you had used a Boolean Cutter, you could not edit your design further. Now, after joining or removing a piece, you can continue to edit your design. This feature allows the designer to make changes to their design at any point in the design.
Plenty of content at your fingertips.
MatrixGold has libraries of content and saved styles available to be used in any project.
In these libraries, you will find categories such as rings, earrings and pendants which contain subcategories that provide many different options. Once selected, the configuration history allows modifications to the design library so that you can adapt the models to your needs.
These content libraries are organized using the Content Manager, which contains the stylesheets and job bags. You can easily customize your favorite pieces and create your own collections so you can retrieve them in a future design. Stylesheets allow you to quickly save your favorite commands that you can call up later.
Cathedral Ring & Split Shank
With the dynamic Cathedral ring and Split shank commands, it’s easier than ever to create even the most complex designs.
Using these functional tools, complex models become accessible to beginners but also to advanced users. There are many stages to get to the final design, which provide the designer with many different options.
Tools for Transformation
Dynamic transformation tools allow you to make modifications to your designs, such as creating a copy around an axis, mirror, curve, cone and rotate it.
The configuration history allows you to make changes to your original plan, and this results in automatic recalculation and revision of your plan.
